If you are looking for casual coastal dining you will find it at Capt. Dave’s Dockside restaurant. Located on the water in Murrell’s Inlet, they have been serving lowcountry and continental cuisine for over 40 years.
This two-story restaurant is situated to give their guests the best views of beautiful Murrell’s Inlet. Guests will enjoy the elegant and breezy coastal decor inside and spectacular inlet panorama outside. Dinner starts at 4:00 pm and reservations are suggested.
Diners can start off with a bowl of the rich Shrimp and Crab Bisque, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp or Oysters Rockefeller. Keep it light with a house, Caesar, or Pecan Candied salad.
Capt. Dave’s Signature Dishes range from $15.50-$33.00 and feature Lowcountry Shrimp and Grits, Carolina Crab Cake, Pan Crusted Grouper, and Fried Seafood Platters. They also offer a wide selection of aged beef on the Flame Kissed Seafood and Steaks menu.
Stick around for New Orleans Bread Pudding. Ask your server about Capt. Dave’s selection of over 100 wines. On Sundays, Capt. Dave’s serves a large brunch with Murrell’s Inlet Benedict (crab cake and eggs), frittata, filet mignon, Blueberry French Toast, Monte Cristo sandwich and so much more.
For a more informal experience you'll find Bubba’s Love Shack, the adjoining outdoor restaurant, offers a low-key menu and laid back atmosphere different from Capt. Dave's. Guests love the temperature controlled enclosed deck, hot food, cold drinks, reggae music and mellow vibes.
Started over 40 years ago by the Owens brothers, Capt. Dave’s Dockside is still run by family members. They work to preserve all that is good about their history and the inlet while adding a contemporary sophistication and flair to their menu and atmosphere.
