Steeped in history, Drunken Jack's restaurant and lounge offers a parade of the ocean's most delicious delights. Serving lunch and dinner everyday, no reservations are required to enjoy broiled, fried or blackened dishes bursting with flavor.
Legend has it that the famous pirate Blackbeard buried his stash of rum on an island around Murrell's Inlet. After his crew buried the rum they feasted and drank all night on the island. Sailing off the next morning they forgot their crew mate- Jack. Returning two years later, the buried casks of rum were empty and Jack was a pile of bones. So was born the legend of Drunken Jack's restaurant.
Lunch is served from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm, dinner starts at 4:00 pm. The lunch menu has a satisfying selection of coastal southern foods. Po Boy sandwiches stuffed with oysters or shrimp, crab cake sandwich, seafood platters and for the vegetarians there is a veggie wrap. Get your dinner appetite started with an appetizer of She Crab Soup or oysters on the half shell. Move on to a platter of scrumptious flounder, scallops, or shrimp that are breaded and fried to a delicate crisp. Feeling decadent? Try the Prime Rib or go all out with a plate of lobster tails. Dinner entrees range between $16.95- $36.95. The children's menu will please adventurous eaters with seafood platters and picky eaters with a cheeseburger or chicken strips.
Save room for the chocolate Black Joke pie, the always pleasing Key Lime pie or delectable Strawberry Shortcake.
Drunken Jack's has a full bar and a happy hour menu of appetizers from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. There is nightly live entertainment and an outdoor seating area to soak up the inlet's breezes.
