Experience Over 100 Exciting Exhibits at WonderWorks

The upside down house along 21st Avenue in Myrtle Beach is hard to miss. This mysterious building is WonderWorks, an interactive museum that features more than 100 unique interactive exhibits. Fun for guests of all ages, we promise that there is something for everyone at this exciting Myrtle Beach attraction!

WonderWorks began as a top secret lab on a remote island in the Bermuda Triangle. One day, the lab’s fearless leader, Dr. Wonder, was given the task of creating a man made tornado – and things took a turn for the worse. Dr. Wonder lost control of the swirling vortex and the whole lab became engulfed – finally landing on the sandy shores of Myrtle Beach.

Dr. Wonder decided that he wanted to share his lab with the world but since the building landed upside down, he needed to create a way to straighten things out. This is why the first exhibit guests walk through is the Inversion Tunnel, which properly aligns guests for their journey. After you are turned right side up (or upside down), feel free to explore the vast array of hands on exhibits left over from the lab!

Thrill seekers will enjoy the hurricane shack, where guests experience the winds of a category one hurricane! Visitors can also become a human lighting rod at the Tesla Coils or experience the latest virtual reality technology at the WonderSimulators. Younger children will appreciate the Bubble Lab, where they will be able to put themselves inside a giant bubble, or the Fun With Light and Sound Center, where kids can play virtual air hockey, destroy aliens on the Alien Stomper, or even create an original masterpiece on the piano floor.

WonderWorks also offers two challenging rope courses, one located inside the museum and one located outside in front of Lake Broadway. There is also a Lazer Tag area and a Zip Line adventure that takes you soaring over the lake! The indoor ropes course is included with regular admission and the other attractions can be enjoyed for an additional cost.

Refuel after an afternoon of fun at The Works Eatery. This casual restaurant offers ample seating indoors and outdoors and an array of fresh cuisine options. Choose from a variety of hand tossed pizzas, handmade hamburgers, all beef hotdogs, entrée baskets, quesadillas, and more! The Works Eatery also has a full bar and plenty of creative cocktails for the adults in the group to enjoy. The most fun part about eating at WonderWorks is the blender bikes. Order your frozen drink from the bar and then head over to the blender bikes to blend the drink yourself!

Ideal for large groups or families, WonderWorks provides an educational, hands-on experience that is fun for everyone involved. Whether you have younger ones in tow or a group full of thrill seekers – you are sure to find plenty to keep the whole group happy. Make sure a trip to this exciting Myrtle Beach attraction is a part of your beach tradition!
