May is almost here, the month where things really start to pick up along the Grand Strand. The weather during this warm spring month is ideal for enjoying time out and about on the town. BurroFest – May 3rd – 5th
Local restaurant Fiesta Del Burro Loco is headquarters for the biggest Cinco De Mayo celebrations in town – and this year is no exception! The fun kicks off on Saturday morning with the Stache Dash 5K. This festive run encourages guests to dress to impress as they complete a 3 mile run around Myrtle Beach. Saturday and Sunday will feature south of the border food and drinks specials all day long. The real fun happens on Monday, with live bands all day, outdoor games, and plenty of margaritas for all! Spring Wine Tasting – May 17th
Wine neophytes and aficionados alike will enjoy the bright offerings at the 2nd Annual Spring Wine Tasting at Croissants Bistro & Bakery. This local eatery is known for their upscale cuisine with a distinct low country twist and their fun, seasonal events. This wine tasting is a fundraiser for a local organization and has quickly become a coveted affair. World Famous Blue Crab Festival – May 17th – 18th
Head north to Little River for the 33rd annual Blue Crab Festival! A must for visitors and locals alike, this lively event is fun for the whole family. Check out vendors from across the region as they showcase their best offerings, ranging from arts and jewelry to specialty food items and more. There will also be live entertainment, games, children’s activities, and – of course – plenty of crab! Memorial Day Parade & Festival – May 24th
Gather family and friends and head to Ocean Boulevard for the annual Memorial Day parade and festival. The fun kicks off at 10:30am with an array of local floats decorated to celebrate those who have sacrificed their lives for our country, in addition to lively walking groups and entertainment. Immediately following the parade, there will be a family friendly picnic at the old Pavilion site, complete with food, military exhibits, music, games, and much more.
