Myrtle Beach Boardwalk View
Oct23

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk has quickly become a landmark to the Grand Strand! Built in 2010, The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk stretches 1.2 miles across the beachfront from 14th Avenue North to 2nd Avenue North. Throughout the summer months Myrtle Beach’s Boardwalk is home to concerts, festivals, and other fun events but regardless of what season you come, you will find something to love about our Boardwalk. We get many questions from guests regarding different features of the Boardwalk so we thought we would put together our most asked questions in hopes of it making your vacation planning easier!

What dining options are along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk?

The boardwalk is home to 20 dining options and with it all being walking distance from Holiday Inn – “At The Pavilion”, you really can’t go wrong! A few of our favorite boardwalk restaurants are Wicked Tuna, LandShark Bar & Grill, Pier House, and for dessert, I Love Sugar!

Can you ride bikes along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk?

From Labor Day through April 30th bicycles are allowed on the Boardwalk. However, during peak summer months (May 1st – Labor Day) bicycles are only allowed on the Boardwalk from 5:00 am – 10:00 am. This is for the safety of our visitors!

What attractions does the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk offer?

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk offers plenty of fun attractions for you and your family to enjoy when you need a break from the sun and sand. Our next-door neighbor, the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, is both a tourist and local favorite. Ripley’s Believe it or Not, The Sling Shot, and The Mirror Maze are also great choices. Don’t forget to get your shopping on at The Gay Dolphin, a 26,000 square foot gift shop and another Myrtle Beach landmark!

Are dogs allowed on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk?

From Labor Day through April 30th dogs are allowed on the Boardwalk. However, during peak summer months (May 1st – Labor Day) dogs are only allowed on the Boardwalk from 5:00 am – 10:00 am. This is the same for dogs on the beach!

What time does the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk close?

Never! The Boardwalk is open to the public 24 hours a day. While most stores and restaurants run on a typical business schedule, the actual Boardwalk is always open and ready to be explored! For our night owls, don’t forget to check out some of the bars and nightlife that the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk has to offer!

Is the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk open year-round?

Yes! One of the great things about Myrtle Beach is that no matter the season you visit there is always plenty of fun activities going on, with the Boardwalk having quite a few!

We pride ourselves on the fact that Holiday Inn – “At The Pavilion” is the only AAA Three Diamond Resort located on the beautiful Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and that all of the boardwalk attractions and amenities are just steps away from your room.
