For many of our guests, fall is a favorite season to visit Holiday Inn – “At The Pavilion”. Wine Fest – September 16

Come unwind and spend your day or evening at Myrtle Beach’s 7th Annual Wine Fest. Wine Fest is a popular wine-tasting event that takes place September 16 in Valor Park at The Market Common. That’s right around the corner from Holiday Inn – “At The Pavilion”! This fun fall event features 50+ samples of wines from around the world. There is no shortage of fun here as you can sip the day away while enjoying live entertainment. Purchase a $5 wine glass for your sipping pleasure, and pay as you go! St. John’s Greek Festival – September 27-30

A top Myrtle Beach fall event, the annual St. John’s Greek Festival is full of Greek cuisine, culture, and a whole lot of fun! This multi-day event will take place at the St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, less than a 10-minute drive from Holiday Inn – “At The Pavilion”. This family-friendly festival opens 11 am Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 12 pm on Sunday. Enjoy eating gyros, baklava, spanakopita, and salads while drinking an authentic Greek beer, wine, or even an Ouzo shot. Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival – September 28-30

A perfect event for the whole family, the Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival will be taking place Friday, September 28th through Sunday, September 30th from 12-6 pm. This Festival is held at the beautiful Atalaya Castle, the former winter home of Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington located inside Huntington Beach State Park. If you and your family get hungry, the museum has a snack bar where adults can get on the blender bike to blend their own frozen drinks. WonderWorks is a great Myrtle Beach rainy day activity and is designed for children of all ages…but even adults will enjoy the fun!

Ripley’s Aquarium

Ripley’s Aquarium has been a favorite in Myrtle Beach for both tourists and locals for years. Located at Broadway at the Beach, this marine life attraction features two levels of sea animals and activities for the whole family! Ripley’s new Pearl Harbor Exhibit lets you sound the alarms inside the Arizona and take your picture with FDR. This interactive gallery will make you feel like you’ve been transported back in time! You can also visit the dangerous reef to see sharks, eels, and sea turtles all while you walk along a moving 340-foot glidepath. Other exhibits include: Rainbow Rock, Rio Amazon, and Ray Bay. The Hollywood Wax Museum is an entertainment center in Myrtle Beach filled with wax figures of all your favorite celebrities. Try Your Luck Bowling

Who doesn’t enjoy a little family competition every now and again? See how you stack up against the crowd at 710 Bowling Center. This attraction offers several traditional bowling lanes, glow bowling, arcade games, yard games (corn hole and bocce ball), pool tables, darts, board games, and a full bar and kitchen. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Bonanza is being held every Wednesday and Thursday at the Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion. Located between 8th and 9th Avenues North, you can get your fill of entertainment at this event from July through August. After a long day lounging by one of the 5 pools at the Holiday Inn Pavilion, this is the perfect anecdote for some evening fun! The best part about this event…it’s free!

Each week will feature live entertainment like, talent and karaoke contests, DJ performances, food challenges, trivia, and Beach Olympics! This is all part of Big Screen Party Machine’s entertainment schedule including, a jumbo digital board with a live emcee and tons of great prizes for participants to win!

No one in the family will be bored at this exciting event! Every live performance and show will be different from the night before, so feel free to go two nights in a row!

In addition to the live entertainment the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Bonanza will also include five different local food trucks! If you don’t get your fill from one of the local food trucks at the Bonanza, grab a bite at one of the many Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Restaurants. What’s more American than a hot dog on July 4th? Stop in at Peaches Corner, a Myrtle Beach landmark, for a hot dog, burger, or cold beer! If you want a more scenic view, sit oceanfront at Hurricane’s Daiquiri Bar & Grill and enjoy a Fruit Loop (red,white, and blue) daiquiri!

While you’re on the boardwalk, Salute from the Shore! From the beach or the boardwalk watch as the South Carolina Air National Guard flies overhead in honor of Independence Day! View the F-16’s as they whiz by around 1PM.

Take advantage of the skyline view with a ride on the SkyWheel. They have multiple gondolas encased in glass for you to get a 360 view of the Grand Strand. Want to make your ride really special, hop on the SkyWheel during the fourth of July fireworks show (open until 12am)!

Evening Activities

You won’t want to miss a patriotic special at Plyler park. Their Hot Summer Nights will feature local band, Backfire, as they kick off the night with live music at 7pm. Enjoy dancing with American pride to their pop country, 60s and 70s rock, and modern rock covers.

And of course don’t miss the fireworks on the 4th of July at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk! Any spot on the boardwalk will have an excellent view of the sky show, as the fireworks are launched from the 2nd Avenue Pier. The show starts at 10pm so, grab a beach chair, blanket or some sand and enjoy!

Meet with the Grinch, Santa’s elves, beautiful princesses, and the big man in red himself, Santa, before he makes his round-trip across the globe. Hard Rock Cafe New Year’s Eve Bash | December 31, 10 pm – 2 am

Rock in 2018 at Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach for the New Year’s Eve Bash, one of Myrtle Beach hottest New Year’s events. Dance and celebrate to the music of Diversity, playing live throughout the evening and enjoy a complimentary appetizer buffet. And once midnight hits, the venue will be jumping with music, a huge balloon drop, and confetti cannons! General admission is $35 in advance and $40 day of. Ripley’s Aquarium Sleepover | December 31, 8 pm – 8 am

From the terrifying to the gruesome, you can expect to see just about everything this Halloween.

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Fright Nights

Looking for a spooky surprise? Head just outside of our resort to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk to see the Fright Night action right before your eyes! This weekend event will take place each weekend throughout the month of October and will be pretty hard to miss. The entire boardwalk area will be overtaken by real-life zombies like a scene from an apocalyptic movie! Guests can enjoy live entertainment, photo ops with the zombies, and discounts at local Halloween attractions and thrill rides. Just head to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk during the month to see what all the buzz is about!

 

Ripley’s Haunted Laser Strike

Look no further than Ripley’s Haunted Adventure Laser Strike, conveniently located just up the road in downtown Myrtle Beach. If you’re searching for something unique for the entire family, reserve your spot for Ripley’s Spook-Quarium Sleepover at Ripley’s Aquarium on Saturday, October 28. Just a short drive from Holiday Inn at the Pavilion, guests are invited to venture down a haunted aquarium walk and go on a scavenger hunt throughout the aquarium. Nightmare Haunted House

This downtown attraction combines all of your worst nightmares… under one roof. Appropriate for seasoned haunted house goers and scare enthusiasts, this haunted house is no laughing matter. Make your way through a dark and winding maze of twists and turns as you encounter several creepy residents. And by an encounter, we mean run for your life! Pigboy, Buddyman, and Giggles are just a few of the not-so-friendly faces you can look forward to seeing, in addition to several terrifying scenes and spooky actors popping out from every corner. Broadway at The Beach

kids dressed in halloween costumesBroadway at the Beach is THE place to be during Halloween! Located just a short drive from Holiday Inn at the Pavilion, Broadway is hosting fun events for families and couples during the month. Check out a few of their top Halloween events:

  • Truck-or-Treat (Saturday, October 14): Get your trick-or-treating started early with Truck-or-Treat at Broadway at the Beach! From 10 am to 2 pm, all kinds of large trucks will be on hand to pass out candy to kids in costume, including trash trucks, emergency vehicles, and all kinds of giant big rigs. There will also be inflatables, a petting zoo, rides, a costume contest, and much more! A horn-free hour will be implemented between 10 am and 11 am.
  • Halloween Bash on The Avenue (Saturday, October 28th): If you are looking to enjoy a lively night out on the town you definitely won’t want to miss out on the Halloween Bash on The Avenue! Just head to The Avenue (formerly Celebrity Square) in your best costume to receive free admission to all clubs, partake in awesome Halloween deals, and enter the Adult Costume Contest. The best costume of the night will score someone $2,000! 
  • Halloween Fireworks & Trick or Treat (Monday, October 31st): Broadway at the Beach is a top spot for trick or treating for both visitors and locals alike! Bring your little ghosts and goblins out between 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm for a night they surely won’t forget. Broadway will have local vendors set up with trick or treating booths and plenty of entertainment to keep you busy. There will also be a lively fireworks finale that you won’t want to miss!
