This Independence Day tradition is one of the most patriotic events on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The annual flyover includes F16s from the Shaw Air Force Base, Military C-17s, and privately-owned vintage planes. Watch from anywhere along the Boardwalk and other surrounding beaches. Costumes and festive red, white, and blue attire are highly encouraged. Salute the flyover with family and friends, take a photo and share it on the Salute from the Shore website. This is a great activity to show your support and your patriotic pride!
Fireworks are a beloved July 4th tradition in Myrtle Beach. Watch this year’s fireworks from the 2nd Avenue Pier or the adjacent Boardwalk. You can also bring your beach chairs and blankets to view the fireworks from the beach. The show begins at 10:00 p.m. but we recommend getting there early to enjoy all the Boardwalk has to offer. Discover many other Myrtle Beach Independence Day celebrations along the Boardwalk for a full day of family fun.
