Christmas & New Year’s Eve On The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

If you plan to visit Myrtle Beach for the 2022–2023 holiday season, add the most festive events taking place during your stay to your itinerary. Here are the must-attend Myrtle Beach Boardwalk events scheduled for Christmas and New Year’s Eve — all of which are within walking distance of our Myrtle Beach Boardwalk hotel.

1| WINTER WONDERLAND AT THE BEACH | PAVILION PLACE | OPEN ‘TILL DEC. 23 

Step into the sights and sounds of the season at Winter Wonderland at the Beach, located at the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place between 8th & 9th Ave N. Enjoy a walk-through lights display and dazzling decorations. This year, Winter Wonderland introduces a Family Fun Zone featuring s’mores stations, street curling, and a snow angel yard. Tickets to the Fun Zone are $1, or purchase a wristband for $5 to get unlimited admission to all Winter Wonderland attractions.

2| BANDITO’S NYE 2023 RED CARPET EVENT | BANDITOS CANTINA

Ring in the New Year at Banditos Cantina. Tickets to this red carpet event are just $25 for general admission or $70 for an all-inclusive VIP experience. This event features a DJ from 7–10 p.m. and live music from 10 p.m.– 1 a.m. Call 843-712-2992 to reserve your tickets.

3| NEW YEAR’S EVE 2023 HOLLYWOOD BEACH RED CARPET | TIN ROOF

Dress in your holiday best for Tin Roof’s NYE Hollywood Beach Red Carpet. Dance to live music on two stages, enjoy multiple bars, and celebrate the new year with confetti cannons and a complimentary champagne toast. This party is the biggest in Myrtle Beach. Doors open at 7 p.m., VIP packages are available, and tickets are on sale now.

4| NEW YEAR’S EVE FIREWORKS IN MYRTLE BEACH

While you won’t be able to find a New Year’s Eve fireworks display directly on the Boardwalk this year, there are several other nearby locations along the Grand Strand that will be hosting celebratory fireworks. Catch them at any of these locations:

Summer Events On The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

1| Carolina Country Music Festival | Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place | June 9th – 12th

As the largest live music festival on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, the 7th annual Carolina Country Music Festival will be enjoyed by locals and visitors from across the US. Headliners for the 2022 fest include Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Chase Rice, Chris Lane and many more of country music’s top performers. This Myrtle Beach Boardwalk event kicks off on Thursday, June 9th. Onsite food and beverages are available or try out one of the nearby restaurants on the Boardwalk.

2| Hot Summer Nights | Plyler Park | June 12th – Sept. 4th

Featuring a concert series, a kids’ carnival and tons of daily fun – head out to Plyler Park all summer for free Myrtle Beach Boardwalk events. A full schedule is set to be released soon, so check the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Facebook page for updates. Past festivals have included face painting, live music, glow parties and karaoke. There will be entertainment and fun for everyone in your family!

3| Salute from the Shore | Ocean Boulevard | July 4th

This Independence Day tradition is one of the most patriotic events on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The annual flyover includes F16s from the Shaw Air Force Base, Military C-17s, and privately-owned vintage planes. Watch from anywhere along the Boardwalk and other surrounding beaches. Costumes and festive red, white, and blue attire are highly encouraged. Salute the flyover with family and friends, take a photo and share it on the Salute from the Shore website. This is a great activity to show your support and your patriotic pride!

4| Independence Day Fireworks | Myrtle Beach Boardwalk | July 4th

Fireworks are a beloved July 4th tradition in Myrtle Beach. Watch this year’s fireworks from the 2nd Avenue Pier or the adjacent Boardwalk. You can also bring your beach chairs and blankets to view the fireworks from the beach. The show begins at 10:00 p.m. but we recommend getting there early to enjoy all the Boardwalk has to offer. Fall Events On The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

1| Ripley’s Haunted Laser Strike | Ocean Boulevard

Grab your laser gun and take aim at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure Laser Strike near the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. With lots of monsters lurking behind every corner, this course will get you in the Halloween spirit. Use your laser skills to target monsters and earn your escape before it’s too late. Ages 8 and up are invited. Explore Ripley’s ticket packages online for access to this adventure and more.

2| Waves of Praise Gospel Fest | Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place | Sept. 2nd – 3rd

Bring your lawn chair to this Myrtle Beach Boardwalk event for two days of wholesome fun. The Waves of Praise Gospel Fest is free to attend and features outdoor concerts, food vendors, and lots of family activities. The gospel concerts kick off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday with an exciting lineup of live music until 11:00 p.m. each day.

3| I Love Seafood Fest | Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place | Sept. 10th – 11th

This festival is only a 5-minute walk from our boardwalk hotel. I Love Seafood Fest boasts an impressive lineup of Food Network stars, cooking demonstrations, and live entertainment right off the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. The menu features lobster, crab, crawfish, and an oyster bar. Purchase your festival tickets online—General admission is $10 or you can opt for a VIP experience that begins at $50 per person. With face painting, an arts and crafts fair, plus sponsor exhibits, everyone will find things to see and do during this two-day festival.

4| Beach ‘n Chili Fest | Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place | Sept. 23rd – 25th

This long-running fall event in Myrtle Beach is dedicated to the world’s best chili. Gate admission for this three-day festival is free, but you’ll have to purchase tickets to sample the mouth-watering chili. Other entertainment at the festival includes a Shelby Car Show, live entertainment and demonstrations, a Family Fun Zone, and more—there’s something for everyone! The hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. Check the event schedule for more details.

5| Fun in the Sun Classic Car Cruise | Ocean Boulevard | Oct. 27th – 29th

Celebrating its 11th year, this Myrtle Beach Boardwalk event features classic cars, custom rides and antique trucks. It’s a can’t-miss weekend for car enthusiasts, but everyone will enjoy perusing this impressive selection of automobiles. Fundraising at the car show supports the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
